 A smartwatch is essentially a wearable computer in the form of a wristwatch, with various features and functions that are typically found on a smartphone device. Some smartwatches have standalone cellular connectivity, which allows them to function independently from a mobile phone all together! Most modern smartwatches are operated via a touchscreen, and rely on mobile apps that run on a connected device in order to provide core functions.
